A large portion of the team dues are used toward operating costs including the coaching salaries (9 coaches), transportation to and from Northern California regattas, breakfast, lunch, and snacks at regattas, regatta entry fees, USRowing memberships, boathouse memberships, and insurance fees.  

The rest of the dues contribute to equipment costs.  The equipment includes the shells, oars, coxboxes, ergometers, weightlifting equipment, launches, trucks, and boat trailer.  

NOT included in the cost is transportation and lodging for away regattas.  These regattas are usually select and qualifying varsity crews only, and generally include Head of the Charles in Boston, San Diego Crew Classic, Youth Invitational National Championshp, and usually one other regatta each Spring seasn.  

The cost of the required team uniform is also not included in dues.  All atheltes are expected to purchase a uniform before the racing season.  The uniform may be used year-after-year if kept in good shape.
