NORCAL Crew dues cover coaching, operating expenses, insurance, and BIAC dues. Expenses associated with chartering buses, team food for regattas, launches, top of the line equipment and scholarships are supported entirely by fundraising and philanthropic donations.

Major fundraising activities are the yearly Erg-a-thon and *eScrip. Each family is expected to participate in fundraising activities. Volunteers are needed to help with planning and implementation the above activities.

The Erg-A-Thon

 

The Erg-A-Thon will take place Saturday, December 4. Athletes solicit pledges for number of meters rowed on the ergometers.

eScrip

 

Please consider registering with the eScrip program. Many of our NORCAL Crew families and friends have registered. We are hoping you will register too. You can really make a difference to our small program!! If you are already registered, you can designate up to (3) organizations to receive donations.

We are a small program and your enrollment can make a huge difference. Your support is greatly appreciated and crucial to the success of the program. It only takes a few minutes to complete the registration process. Then just shop. Donations are automatically made to NORCAL by the qualifying merchants you frequent. It’s easy. And, now Macy’s has become part of the eScrip program. Please remember that NORCAL is a non-profit organization. Our funding comes only from donations. It’s a legacy of giving that you don’t have to think about…

To register your grocery cards, credit cards and/or debit cards with eScrip, log onto http://www.escrip.com. The process is very simple and doesn’t take much time.

  • Go to the top of the page and select the “sign up” option in the orange bar. (You will also notice another tab “family of merchants,” which will give you a listing of merchants in Northern California that are registered with eScrip) Once you are on the support registration page you can either type in the:
    • Group Name (Nor Cal Crew) or
    • Group ID (155448139) or
    • City where the group is located (Menlo Park) or
    • Zip Code (94025)
  • The next page will give you information on Nor Cal Crew. Select the blue underline words “Nor Cal Crew.” The next page will already show Nor Cal Crew in a blue box as Selected to Support. Click on proceed to next step.
  • The following page will ask for your name, address, etc. Then the following page will ask for your credit card, debit card and or grocery cards information.
