Natalie Sarno

Novice Women's Assistant Coach

Natalie was born and raised in Colorado and made her way out to California to attend college. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Microbiology and it was at UCSB that Natalie found her passion for rowing. On the women’s team, Natalie was a coxswain for four years where she received three consecutive national championship gold medals at ACRA with her crews. She was also a recipient of the 2019 ACRA All-American First Team award.

Natalie was brought to the Bay Area by her other job as a laboratory technician on the regent development team at GenapSys in Redwood City. There she and her team are working to make genetic sequencing more affordable with a novel platform that uses electric semiconductor-chip-based detection.

When Natalie is not at the lab or on the water, she loves to explore her new home here in the Bay Area.
