Dillan Varghese is a rowing coach and biotech professional whose connection to the sport began in his home state of Michigan. Introduced to rowing in high school, Dillan quickly proved himself as a dedicated and competitive athlete, earning a gold medal at the Michigan state championships and a bronze medal at regional competition.
He continued his rowing career at Michigan State University for a year and a half, gaining collegiate-level racing experience and refining his technical skills. During college, Dillan also gave back to the sport by coaching for two summers at his former high school rowing program, where he helped develop young athletes and foster their love for rowing.
Now living in San Francisco and working in the biotech industry in South San Francisco, Dillan brings his blend of competitive rowing experience, coaching background, and professional discipline to Norcal Crew. His coaching philosophy focuses on technical precision, athletic development, and building a positive team environment where athletes are encouraged to push themselves and work together toward success.
