Brittney O’Brien

Varsity Women's Assistant Coach

Brittney O’Brien joined Norcal Crew in the 2019 season as the assistant novice women’s coach and moves to the Varsity Women’s team for 2020. She is thrilled to work with athletes and inspire them to develop a lasting love and respect for the sport of rowing.

Brittney started her rowing career in college after following her twin sister’s passion for the sport. She began rowing for Orange Coast College, traveling all over the country competing against DI, DII, DIII, and club programs during her novice and JV year. After two years, Brittney transferred to University of California Davis DI rowing program and competed in the 2V8 and stroked the V4. Currently, Brittney competes with her twin sister on the masters competitive rowing team at Bair Island Aquatic Center. With BIAC masters, she won a gold medal at Northwest Regionals Championships, as well as earning two gold medals at US Rowing Masters Nationals Championships. When she is not rowing, Brittney is teaching, at the beach, or traveling.
