Norcal Varsity Women Win National Championship at 2013 USRowing Youth Invitational
Menlo-Atherton High senior Katie Kelly and recent Woodside grad Makayla Karr-Warner dominated the grand final in the Women’s LW 2x event at the USRowing Youth Invitational National Championships.
In a time of 7:11.7, the pair bested the five other boats that had emerged over the weekend from the nationally selected field of 20. To qualify, Norcal had previously won the South West Regional, comprising crews from California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
