Three Norcal Athletes Represent the United States at Junior and U23 World Championships

Three Norcal athletes are representing their country this summer on the international stage. Makayla Karr-Warner (Norcal ’13, BU’17) qualified at Trials as part of a Lightweight Womens Quad training out of Union Boat Club in Boston. Trey Holterman (Norcal’17, Stanford’21) and Clay Watson (Norcal’17, Columbia’21) were both selected from the Jr. camp system to the Junior Men’s eight and four, respectively. The U23 world championships are being held in Bulgaria in late July this year, while the Jr. world championships will be in Lithuania in August. The U23 championship is not funded, and athletes must raise ~$6k each to cover travel and competition costs. For anyone who would like to help Makayla reach her goal, donations may be made through the following link: https://nrf.rallyme.com/rallies/8014

UPDATE: The US Lightweight Quad, including Makayla Karr-Warner (Norcal’13) has won the petite final at the U23 World Championship to place 7th overall in the world.
